Hi,

Can someone confirm what type/level of hardware encryption is used on this drive?  The product literature only says that it has “256-bit hardware-based encryption”

Is it AES 256 bit or something else?

If you examine LBAs 0 and 1 with a disc editor, you may see a repeating pattern of encrypted zeros. If this pattern repeats every 16 bytes, then I would think that this would suggest 128-bit encryption.
