Hard drive issue

hello people,

I have managed to do something incredibly stupid to my external hard drive, I was intending to erase the contents of my mp3 player, both of which where connected at the same time, and yeah i accidentally selected my hard drive not the mp3 player and clicked erase, noticing my mistake I paniced and did something very stupid and unplugged the hard drive, while it was in the process of deleting the files…now i can see the drive in Disk utility but cannot open in finder.

someone please tell me there is a way to recover all of my data, its a 2TB western digital my passport and is almost completely full…

any help would be very much appreciated!

thanks in advance!

Hello,

It may be possible to still extract the data utilizing data recovery software. There are several kinds of Data Recovery software available. If you do a web search for Data Recovery it will yield plenty of data recovery software options.
