Is there any difference in power requirements between the WD Elements 500GB and the WD Elements 1TB? Does size matter in terms of power consumption? I have an old notebook with only USB 1.1 ports, so I need a low-power external disk.

Power requirements are the same for these two drives. 500mA if it is USB2.0 and 900-1000 mA for USB3.0
