Green square on screen and completely unresponsive? HELP!!

My Sansa Fuze is only a few weeks old (bought it on 22nd of April 09) and in the middle of a firmware update the screen turned green and now the whole player is unresponsive, it doesnt turn on, it doesnt play anything, the computer doesnt pick it up anymore and the blue ring doesnt light up.

Ive tried the soft reset method many times and it hasnt worked.

I’ve emailed the support team but i wont get a reply before 24-48 hours!

Has anyone had this happen to them? Has anyone been able to fix this without taking it apart?
