When my region is North America, when I turn off my clip+, it says “goodbye”. Else, it says “sansa”. For me, “goodbye” is much better, but I am in Europe. I know, I can easily switch region, and I’m just curious… why is this difference?
Perhaps it reflects the well-mannered nature of N. Americans?
All joking aside (!), it could be a language issue: what language would you use for the Good-bye message for the EU or rest of the world?
English is the universal language. English is the most widely used language for internet users.
in the next patch, please make it “Goodbye Sir” for the europeans. Thanks.

And isn’t Chinese the most widely-spoken as a primary language?

Not geographically…
I never liked the “goodbye” all that much. It always seems so… so final somehow.

Maybe it should say “Till next time . . .”
In Mandarin.
