Are WD USB cables the same as generic; I.E those from Amazon.com?
if by generic … you mean ‘Industry Standard’ then yes
(i regularly use 3rd party usb cables if i misplace my supplied WD ones)
but, don’t el-cheapo ones … if you’re buying from Amazon read the customer reviews
