I have an audiobook with ogg files. The first chapter plays just fine but all following chapters are garbled when played (on the Clip+).
I discovered that the 1st file was 2 channel (stereo) with a bit rate 112 kbps - while the following (garbled) files were 1 channel (mono) with a bit rate 57 kbps. Sample rate is 44.1 KHz for all files.
Interestingly, all files play perfectly with MediaMonkey Gold v220.127.116.111 media player on my laptop!
Is this a firmware bug?
Update: Converted the ogg files to MP3 using dBpoweramp - all MP3 files played fine! Conclusion: There’s a bug in the Clip+ firmware when processing ogg files! Hopefully, this will be fixed in the next f/w update.
