G-speed studio for bio lab data storage

Hi Forum,

I am thinking of buying this to store lab data (All Products: Shop Hard Drives, SSDs, USBs, & Memory Cards | Western Digital). 6TB will last us a good while (6TB after mirroring loss). I must manage it from a Mac. RAID 6 is not supported for this device, but I can live with RAID-5 or RAID-10.

My question is this: Does the device come with a GUI interface to help me manage it? If not, can G-tech support help me get it set up using the Mac’s unix command line?

The G-Speed Studio does have a full GUI Management utility that will allow you to configure / check status of your hardware. Below you will find a link to the product support page with the download links. You can also call our support center and the Agent can help walk you through the utility.
