I have a SanDisk G-Drive and any time the computer is left alone for a while, it just turns itself off. I need to use this as my house file server. I have disabled Macos’s “put hard drives to sleep when possible” feature. But this Mac (it’s a Mac Mini) is not sleeping any other drives anyway. It’s just the SanDisk, and it’s not just sleeping, it is fully powering itself down. What can I do?

Disable disk sleep in G-Drive’s own utility, check for auto sleep settings on the drive, and use a small keep-alive script.
