Regularly, but at random, the screen is garbled - not blank, but messed up. Words like ‘Connected’ can appear exactly, but backwards. There can be either vertical or horizontal streaking like what we used to call ‘snow’ on a TV. Icons like the music fader can be doubled. Other times, the screen is normal and works normally. The Fuze is about 3 years old and I am wondering if this is just a weak battery problem?
Doesn’t sound like it. Sounds more like it’s time for a new player. Of course you can always try re-applying the firmware. It might help; it might not.
I have reloaded firmware, but problem remains - unpredictable and random. I was thinking of replacing battery on a chance, but will probably just replace whole unit. I did run CHKDSK /F on the player also, but found no errors. Thanks.
