forward or rewind not work

Hi, I bought a sansa fuze + recently, everything works fine except that you can’t forward or rewind the music or podcasts, the videos only work properly. In the pdf manual in chapter 5 says:

The “now playing” song will Appear
with enlarged album art, taking up
most of it the screen. From this screen,
you can swipe / tap Either right or left
to forward / rewind.

I updated the firmware to version 02.38.06 but the problem persists. Will it be defective? thanks

You have to press  and hold  left/right to rewind/fastfoward, respectively. Tapping and swiping will only skip to beginning of the previous/next song.
