Can I somehow to restore its initial partition with SmartWare? Downloaded “Disk Image” form support site but it’s just zip, neither image.

At the moment

  • i can’t use the disk at new computer because it hasn’t drivers

  • I can’t remove Virtual CD with Virtual CD Manager because it doesn’t recognize as SmartWare disk

What can I do with it?

That is exactly that I did. My problem is at number 5: “Double click on WD Smartware.exe”.

After launching of the installer I received the message: “application not started from drive”…

… and after that installation aborted.

That’s not normal then. Have you try contacting WD?
