Format for Sansa converter

I convert the video to MPEG-4 using dvd decrypter and videora for IPOD.  Will these work on my sister’s Fuze?  Will the Sansa converter process them without thowing an error message and stopping?

You may find more information in the SMC forum   http://forums.sandisk.com/sansa/board?board.id=smc

The Sansa Media Converter (SMC) supports the following import media types. Make sure that the file you are trying to convert is one of the following:

Image files: JPEG, TIFF, PNG, BMP, GIF, PCX, TGA

Video Files: MPEG 1, AVI, dat, DVR-MS, MOV, QT, MP4, asf, wmv, 3gp/3gpp2, DivX(ver 6.0)

The only way to know for sure whether it will work or not is to try it. If it doesn’t, then you’ll have to convert it with a another program first, then serve it up to SMC for final conversion and transfer to your player.

Is an MP4 and an MPEG-4 the same thing?

Also notice video on your fuze is an AVI file. This is part of the Mpeg-4 family as well.
