This is my first MP3 player where there is no capability to view and to play a folder of music files. I really need this function so that I can play my music which I have organised into folders which I drag and drop into the flash memory using the memory as a drive on the PC.
SanDisk hasn’t released a player with this capability since the Digital Audio Player (which is a nice little unit, but outdated and discontinued.) Most manufacturers now rely on ID3 tags anyway. Fortunately, though, it’s not that hard to get ID3 working. If you’re technically savvy, MP3Tag (google it, it’s free) has a great setup for generating ID3 tags automatically based on existing folder/file names. As long as you kept the setup consistent, it does a great job.
