Hi all,
I just bought the Clip Zip 4GB. I am using a 2GB Sandisk microSD card with it.
I have a wierd problem. The first alphabets of ID3V2.3 Tags not are not showing on the device. As a result, in the Menu, Now Playing, Card, the names are coming up wierd.
Example. If the its For Whom The Bell Tolls By Metallica in Ride The Lightning , it shows up as or Whom The Bell Tolls by etallica in ide The Lightning.
Moonchild by Iron Maiden in Seventh Son of a Seventh Son becomes oonchild by ron Maiden in eventh Son of a Seventh Son.
Any help???
I gotta say, that’s a new one on me. I’ve never heard that one before.
What tagging program are you using? MP3Tag? And is the Write Setting set to ID3v2.3 ISO-8859-1?
Are you sure that the ID3 tags are correct and that the first letters are not missing in the ID3 tags themselves? You can use freeware MP3Tag, a nice tag editor, to check this out.
I use MP3Tag all the way.
I flashed it with Rockbox, and its working fine on it.
Problem with the native OS.
“And is the Write Setting set to ID3v2.3 ISO-8859-1?”
how do i see the write setting??

In the Tools > Options menu of MP3Tag. Then under Tags > Mpeg.
