Firmware update failed hdd not recognizing now

my 1tb mypassport was working perfectly fine untill i tried to upgrade firmware. it failed and now hdd is nor being recognized. no ticking sound. lifht turns on windows vive usb conection sound but nothing appears no error or drive

plz help me.i have very iortanr data on it

The drive is probably bricked. I only do the firmware updates if there is a problem with the drive or a security issue. Sometimes if it ain’t broke don’t fix it is the best policy!

If the disk doesn’t show in Disk Management then you probably need a professional recover service now.
