Where can I find the current firmware version installed on my “My Passport” drive?
Windows shows the drive as “WD My Passport 07A8 USB Device” and for most drives 07A8 would be the firmware version, but it doesn’t look at all like the firmware versions shown on the support site (e.g. 1.033 or 3.2.0.8D).
Is the only way to find the firmware version by running the universal updater? Isn’t there anywhere in Windows I can see the firmware version of the drive (e.g. Device Manager)?
