Hi
I have a 20TB my book duo desktop raid and the cooling fan is failing. Its making lots of noise. No issues with drives, I done the diagnostics. I need to replace the fan. Does anyone know how to open the drive. I can access the drive compartment at the top and unscrew the base screws under the rubber feet, but cannot get to the fan itself. Any ideas? Hoping someone from WD can help.
Cheers
Hi,
WD does not recommend opening an external drive enclosure/casing. This will void the warranty of the drive.
You should try contacting WD’s Technical Support about this for live assistance and troubleshooting

Website states its out of warranty. Its not hard to replace a fan. Hoping someone had done it before. Thanks for the suggestion.
