Failing M2

Hi all,

Recently when Ive been playing games I’m getting strange crashes randomly during the game. I only figured out yesterday that when these happen, and I go to my steam drive (WDS512G1X0C) it doesnt show up anymore. If i reboot the PC it shows up no problem. Western Digital SSD tool reports its 100% healthy and firmware is up to date.

I checked event viewer and I’m greeted with the following.

Error
The driver detected a controller error on \Device\RaidPort0

Warnings (100s of them)
An error was detected on device \Device\Harddisk0\DR0 during a paging operation"

The drive is within warranty till 2022. I don’t know if it’s a drive issue or Windows.

Any help be appreciated

Was the drive working properly before? If so do you ahve any other M.2 port you could try the SSD in? The issue could be with the ssd or with the SATA controller on the MB. testing in a different port if it works normally it may be an issue with the sata controller on the MB.

Was working perfectly all the time. Unfortunately I don’t have another slot or PC to test it in.
