External High Capacity Drives for MAC

When are you going to offer drives with Thunderbold ports for the new iMac and other newer Apple products that have these high speed ports available?

Dude, as I tell this guy on this post:

“Sounds good in 2-4 years from now after Thunderbolt becomes mainstream technology not only limited to Apple, as Intel announced that they’ll barely start to distribute development kits after the second half of this year (2011)… Just so you know”

Even the BIG MotherBoard manufacturers (ASUS, Gigabyte) are yet to implement Thunderbolt, until that is done then an external drive with Thunderbolt interface from any manufacturer is something that would not justify the production costs, as only Mac owners would buy them and that is not profitable for companies that are leaned towards Windows.

Just to give you an example, USB 3.0 was completed on late 2008, yet the first devices using the technology as a whole came in early 2010, you can expect the same from Thunderbolt. I’d say 2013-2014, and even 2012 is extremely optimistic. Apple is a funny company; they make new computers with a new interface when the developer of that interface itself has not provided the design specifications to other manufacturers to become accepted and make something to actually use that interface…

It’s like buying a car engine without having a chassis to put it on… Sure, that’s looking forward to the future, but an overkill in the present, I could be wrong though…
