External HD works on my pc but not my mac

my HD was working just fine on my mac. plugged in to my pc dragged and dropped some info to my HD. plugged back into my mac a couple days later and I can’t find it.  I can still see it on my pc though. please help

Hello,

Make sure the drive is connected to a reliable USB port on the Mac. Preferable connecting to the computer itself and not the keyboard. Also, check if the drive is connected to a power surge and swap to a wall outlet.

Verify if the drive appears on Disk Utility or if password protection is enabled.

 Try enabling show hidden files and see if they show then.
