I have a western digital 3TB external hard drive that is plugged using USB into a Netgear R7000 router. For some reason my PC which is running Windows 10 can not connect wirelessly to the external hard drive any longer. Anyone have any ideas how I can resolve the issue. I have contacted netgear and they do not believe it is an issue with the router. Note I had an older netgear router and I was able to access the drive wirelessly no problems.
If you plug it into your PC and it functions normally, then the drive is not the issue…
I have plugged into the PC and it functions normally. Netgear thinks it is a Window security setting but would not provide any guidance.
