Exe files keep showing up in Album folder

I mostly use my clip for audio books.  After several downloads then deletions, I noticed that exe files started appearing in the Album folder and they are eating up useable space…  why is this happening and can I delete them?

Without knowing what these .exe files are (or from) it’s impossible to say.
