I am using a Sandisk Image mate card reader with Sandisk Ultra II and Extreme III cards to move photos from my camera to the computer. I am able to copy files from the card to the hard disk w/o problems, but when I remove the card, I get the error shown in the linked/attached image. What must I do to solve this issue?
Maybe right-click on the card in Windows Explorer and select Eject, or use the Safely Remove hardware in the system tray (lower right-hand corner of computer screen) before you just pull the plug. Some computer systems are more sensitive than others when it comes to this.
Selecting Eject causes the same error message. The other option you mention doesn’t work, saying the item cannot be stopped.
Well, I don’t know then. Maybe cut & paste your error message into a searchbox on the MS Windows site? It might come up & tell you what causes it and/or how to avoid it.
