Exception from HRESULT: 0x80042308

Hello

I am receiving “Exception from HRESULT: 0x80042308” using a 2TB My Book Live in the “Backup” results tab.  It is the reason given for no backing up a .pst file.  This has only occured recently and is only on a .PST file.  It is consistent every day now.  Outlook is working fine so the .pst file seems ok.  Also, I have two Outlook profiles (1 internet and 1 server).  The server profile *.ost is also now not backing up - no reason given.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix!

Does this error comes from WD SmarTWare or form another backup application?

Were you able to fix this? 

Did some research and did not find anything about Smartware. This windows error comes when the shadow copy can not be created thus the backup will not work.

Do you keep outlook open at all times? You might want try closing the application and then doing the backup.
