Error: Could not find item

WD External and Portable SSD External SSD for Windows

I can see my external WD drive, as well as the individual files I’ve backed up on the drive. But, when I try to copy or move them to the c drive on my desktop, WD says it “Could not find this item” and it prevents me from copying or moving the file.

Are there any ideas out there on how to fix or get around this problem?

Need some more information. What OS, which external and did you use software and backup the data or manually copy it?
