Error 36 on hard drive connected to MAC HELP!

I have always been able to use my WD Passport back up using timemachine.  Now it saying error 36 and can’t copy any of my files to the hard drive back up My Passport.

Any suggestions?

Wrong board, this is for that WDTV Live media player only. A mod will move your post to the correct board.
