My WBBAAU0030HBK-01 wont show up in my computer, when connected to my freshly installed windows 7 64 desktop PC, please advise me to end my despair.

Look for it in Disk Management: R Click Computer>Manage then click on Disk Management near the bottom of the left-hand column. WARNING! If Disk Management offers to initialize your drive, Don’t!!! Hit Cancel.
The hoped-for outcome is that your drive is only lacking a drive letter, which you can then assign. If Windows sees the drive as needing to be initialized, a different approach is needed. I’ll be happy to get into that once we know if Disk Management can see the drive and its volume(s).
If this is a desktop try a port on the back and don’t use a hub or a cable longer than the original. Since this is a clean install try updating all of the drivers in the USB chain. If you are using a USB addon card check the manufacturer’s site for drivers.
