Edge sometimes does, sometimes doesn't

I have an Edge 16GB.  It opens on any PC but the contents are visible on some yet not on others: even on identical machines. It also works OK on a Mac. It doesn’t ask for drivers to be installed and there are no error messages.  Other USB drives work correctly on the machines the odd one doesn’t work on. Has anyone seen this before?

Not yet. Usually, it either works or doesn’t. What’s the firmware version on this?

There is no firmware on a flash drive.
