I just got an “easystore” portable backup. I installed WD Discovery and want to back up my laptop computer files but am not given that choice. The only choice of import is from cloud or social media. How do I back up my pc files or has it already done that and how would I know?
I just got one as well. I thought I w be able to drag or add individual files instead of backing up my whole computer. Even though I couldn’t find anything in the manual, I finally figured out I can just right click on the file/files I want to add and go down to “send to” then select Easy Store. Hope this helps.
Your suggestion worked. I however did want to backup my whole computer and this doesn’t seem so “easystore” to me to have to do it by clicking files to send to it. I thought I’d just connect it and it would do all the work automatically. I can’t understand why the only choice I have is to import from cloud or social media. Not as easy as I expected.
You don’t have to use cloud or social Media back up. I started to do that
at 1st. Click on the “Back up” icon that should be on your desktop after
running the instilation software. From there u can either schedule or go to
the bottom option and pick the items u want to back up in groups. Ie: Pics,
Music, Documents etc. And do it that one time. I got mine just to get all
my music and pictures off an older desktop I have.
