e260v2 freezes on selecting track

Hi there,

I have an e260v2, V03.01.16A, and have a problem with certain tracks freezing when selected from the Music/Songs menu.  When I select the track, the display slides half-way across then stops.  The only way to proceed is then to re-set.

The tracks are sections of a radio show, in approx. 9 minute segments, definitely as .mp3 files. The tracks play on my PC and also on other mp3 players with no problems.  I have removed the files and loaded them again, and also tried loading them on the microSD card as well as on the player itself.  No luck - the tracks will not play in any of these circumstances.

Any ideas as to why this is happening, and how to resolve it?

Probably bad ID3 tags. The Sansa is finicky about tags. How to fix them.

Get mp3tagand make sure you save tags as ID3v2.3 ISO-8859-1.

Thanks for responding.  I have already downloaded mp3tag after reading around on the forums, so I will read the details you suggested and let you know if I have any success.
