Is it just me or…

I have a My Book Live because:

  1. I trust a physical disk more than the virtual cloud; and

  2. I like to have physical media (DVD/Blueray) to allow platform migration etc

It would be great if software could be developed to get to a point where a genuine CD, DVD, Blueray etc could be ‘copied’ onto the MyBook Live so that it could be viewed from authorised devices.  I am not suggesting copyright breaches - far from it in fact.  Just a way of getting good quality video onto the Mybook Live to use on my own devices - be they Apple, Windows or Smart TV.

You can do this on a wd tv live, i have this connected to the my book live and it works great
