duplicates of songs

I have two of every song on my player and don’t know how to resolve it.

Plug the Sansa into your computer and delete half the songs??

There are two connection “modes”-

-MSC acts like a diskdrive in Windows

-MTP is to copy stuff from Windows Media Player

You can put songs onto the Sansa in either mode- the Sansa will play them.

What’s funny is any songs you put onto the player in one mode will not be SEEN on the computer in the other mode- but they’re still there!!

So you might have copied the songs onto the Sansa in one mode then accidentally switched to another mode, and copied them again.
The sansa can play both sets- to delete all of them you would need to delete them in both modes…

Or format the player, erasing all & start over.

Are you using a Windows machine or a Mac? Macs will write a duplicate file name, confusing both the player and you. This has been brought up before. You’ll need to delete the ‘ghost’ files.
