Aside from crushing brand new Express with a cinder block, what should be my next step.
Device is not charging, using Vista machine.
Bought on EBay. Did I get screwed?
Thanks in advance.

Try replacing the firmware following the instructions in this thread. Before you try reflashing the firmware, charge the battery for 2 or 3 hours.

If you try this a few times and on different computers and it doesn’t work, then you may have a defective player.
I’ve charged it for over 3 hours, , replaced the firmware, and yes done it on 2 computers.
What is the procedure for replacing a defective player?
