Iam Dinesh,I hv bought my 1tb MY PASSPORT ESSENTIAL SE HDD about 2 weeks back. It has worked normally till date but suddenly when i plugged in my HDD my PC was not recognising any HDD but the LED light adjacent to the HDD was glowing when i connected to my PC. I thought it would be some problem in the USB slot but it is working normally when i inserted my other pendrives. Do anybody know whats the problem is??? :frowning:

I bought  “WD My Passport  Essential  USB 2,0”  befor 6 months , untill yesterday there is no problem.

Yesterday when I try to plug my HDD in PC  >> It can’t ricognize it .

If there some one can help us to fix these problem?:womansurprised:

Hi,

I ot the similar issue since last week, I brought this WD pasport 1 TB drive on november 26th 2010. It worked well allthe time. I copied almost 200 GB of data into it. It stopped working all of a sudden when I was copying 20 GB data at a go with a pop up message “write falied delayed…”.

Please share your solution to this.

if you haven’t damaged the port or the drive, you may just have a bad cable.  replace the cable, but remember to use a short, eighteen inch cable.  And don’t use a usb hub.
