Device not recognized. I/O device error. MRB probably damaged

Hello everybody,

hope you are doing fine.

I go straight to my problem cuz i am becoming freak to solve it.
I have a WD external HDD, My passport and suddenly one day it stoped working so i had to restart the computer.
After restarting the computer, in windows i wasn’t able to see any more the HDD in “my computer”.

I used the disk management of windows, and there although i can see the HDD, i can not do anything cuz it pops up a message " The request could not be performed because of an I/O error".

I had a program that fixes the MRB of the HDDs and apparently this program either can not repair the MRB.
The windows disk management shows the HD as Unallocated…

Does anyone has any idea of how could i fix the problem and retreive the files of my HDD??? (note that the HDD is less than one year old…)

Thanks anyone willing to share his/her  knowledge with me!

The I/O error = Input / Output error could be one of several things.

Check your drive in a different computer, if possible change the drive USB cable.

I have checked already in 3 different Windows OS computers, 2 Ubuntu and one MAC. it works on none of them.
I tried as well to connect it with an other cable but still nothing.

The really weird thing in the story is that once after the problem start to exist i connected to one computer with windows 7 and i managed to see the data inside it and even copy some of them.
When i was needed to restart the computer for some reasons, the OS since then didn’t find it never again…

Other ideas???
