Description of folders?

Withing the public folder I see a lot of sub directories that have no description of their use.

eg “UPLOAD”.  Upload to the cloud? the usb connected computer? what is its purpose and should I be using this to perform some automated functions?

Where in the structure should I load my music, videos, documents etc?  Just put them anywhere and a background process will sort them out?

I’m setting this up from a USB connected windows 8 desktop machine for use while travelling on some tablets.

Perhaps someone can point me at some description of operation thats more informative than the included videos and the user manaul.

Really appreciate some guidance here.

If you have not yet downloaded the complete user manual from WD Support and are only referring to the Quick Guide, then download the manual.  It will tell you about the Upload folder and all other stuff you may wonder about.
