Dead Clip?

My Sansa Clip always has a dark display.  When I plug into the computer (Windows XP SP3), the Device Manager shows an unknown USB device.  Also, when plugged in, the Sansa Clip heats up.

My wife’s clip works using the same computer and cable.

I’m getting no response from sending email to support.  Perhaps someone here can help.

  1. Do I need a replacement?

  2. Where can a return this device for a replacement?


if it is getting hot when it is connected to the computer it will need to be replaced. when did you email sansa? sometimes email responce can be a little slow. try calling their tech support 866-sandisk they will be able to take care of you right away.
