Data Lifeguard Diagnostic for DOS: can't find WD Drive

I just installed a 1 TB WD blue internal drive as my 2nd hard drive. I put the latest version of Data Lifeguard Diagnostic for DOS on a bootable CD. When I boot on the CD it gives an error saying no valid WD drive found. I wonder if this is because the WD drive is not the “C:” drive. Should I just move the WD drive over to SATA port 0 for the boot up?  If I run the Windows version I can see the WD and other drives on the machine.

Hello,

If you load your computer with the drive connected as a secondary drive, Does the drive show on disk management?

Please note that all the new drive comes with no partition on it and you will need to format the drive to create a new volume.

The DOS version has a known bug that unless you are using legacy mode on the BIOS it won’t detect the drive as it was made for older SATA and PATA drives, and tends not to work on DOS with the new-ish drives, specially if over 2TB.
