I’ve been storing data on my Fuze, in lieu of a thumb drive, and now refreshing (rebuilding db) takes an extremely long time. I believe this is related to the number of files. Is there a way to have the Fuze ignore (e.g. .cvsignore convention) certain files when rebuilding that db?

Not that I know of. You add stuff, you get the delay next boot-up.
Get yourself a thumb drive. They’re so cheap now.

Well to be honest, I guess that this is somethign that Sansa should deal with.
As of yet I have filled about 5 gbs of my 8gb fuze, but I’m afraid it’ll be taking quite a lot of time if I buy a 16 gb microSD …
You are- _ CORRECT, _ Sir!
It takes between 5 & 6 minutes to refresh the database on my e280v2 with an 8GB card, both internal memory and card full.
I’ll have time for a 2nd cup of coffee if I get the 16 gig card. :smileyvery-happy:

Perhaps I should modify the Refresh Database mask…
If it’s going to be a short one, the standard mask pops up. If it’s longer, I’ll make it the pink one, with “Time For Coffee” as the message.
This way, I will feel better about the delay. Hmm… that may just be a good idea…
