Dashboard Error

Hi i had some problems with Dashboard after updating java

basically the icons were present but nothing else no text , i uinstalled the dashboard now when i go to reinstall it (dashboard)

i get a small little box with no text in it at the top left of my computer screen i can attach a screen shot

ive tried installing in compatibilty mode, right click and install as admin,

im logged in as computer admin

kinda stuck and not sure how to roll back java tried system restore but that failed.
