I have a SanDisk Cruzer Glide 16GB drive (black with red slider). I mainly use it to transfer files from my work computer to my home computer for backup. (I don’t like cloud backup because I am concerned about data security.)
I use SanDiskSecureAccessV2_win to create a secure Vault. Then I copy my main file directory from my work desktop into the Vault. That works fine. It takes up about 2GB.
Then a week later, I want to do the same thing. Since there is plenty of space left in the Vault, I rename the previous file directory that’s there and try to copy my main work file directory into the Vault again, the same way. The process gets about halfway and then I get a message from Windows same that the process was terminated “in an unusual way.” This happens every time.
Then I have to reformat the Cruzer, copy the SanDiskSecureAccessV2_win file onto it again, recreate the Vault, and start over. Then it works. This is a pain to have to do every time.
Any suggestions? Is there a way to make the Vault work properly like a regular file directory?
Hmmm . . . thanks, but I don’t understand what you mean by “renaming out, of him.”
The way I get files into the Vault the first time is a simple cut-and-paste of my main file folder on my desktop. Then I do the same cut-and-paste the second time. So I don’t understand why it always fails the second time when it worked fine the first time.
