In response to all the comments: A lanyard can be cut. Metal wire is only just a tad more difficult, but not by much. The twist tie w/plastic coating is a very good idea. I have tried everything mentioned in all the posts. Design flaw or deliberate, I will never again purchase a scandisk thumb drive. I registered to this forum just to make this comment. Scan disk does not need my business. That is all.
