my Cruzer Slice wrighting speed has dropped from 9-8 Mb/s to 3.5 Mb/s it’s killing me!
no way to solve the issue ?!
Could be the stick or your PC. I personally had an experieince with this.
I had to reload my OS for other reasons before. I was shocked to see the write speed on my USB stick after the reload. For your case, it’s an option but not really the best one.
You can also isolate the issue by trying in it another computer.
I have test it in more than 5 laptops & few PCs the problem remains.
I have formated with Sdformater,HPformater,… every formatter out there no use.
I have bought a 16 GB Sandisk cruizer pendrive in Dec 2011. When I start copying / moving data to/from the device initially the data transfer rate is okay (around 40-50 mbps) later (within 4-5 seconds) it reduces drastically to 3-6 mbps which takes ages to complete.
I formatted the device and have tried same on various computers and loptops.
Please suggest what shall I do
You may need to buy a different USB stick. One designed for large files.
In the interim make sure Windows isn’t indexing the files on the “cruiser” and make sure your security app(s) aren’t verifying the files being written to the “cruiser”.
