Converting or Viewing Mac files on PC from a WD MyBook for Mac

I don’t know much about Macs but saw this recommended a couple of times http://www.catacombae.org/hfsx.html Other than that there are only paid programs like MacDrive http://www.mediafour.com/products/macdrive/
