So my Sansa Express has worked well for a few months. Yesterday, I turned it off just as it was completely running out of battery. So I plugged it into my computer (I don’t remember if the computer was up and running or in standby). When I came back today, the Sansa express will not start up, and no matter if I plug and unplug the device, the computer seems oblivious to its presence. Tried restarting computer. Took the device to a Mac (OS X) machine, and similarly got no response. I tried pressing the - key for a while and nothing. Tried pressing select and (+) and (-) keys at once and nothing. Any ideas?

If the battery went completely dead, it may take a while to get enough charge back in order for the Expresss to connect to the computer. If you have an AC adapter, let it charge fully then try to connect again.
If your Express doesn’t connect after the battery is fully charged, contact Sandisk. You may have a bad battery or defective player. You should still be under warranty if you only had it a few months.
