My Clip+ has decided to not respond to the volume control. It’s stuck about half way which normally is fine, but today I wanted to turn it up so I could listen to the radio over the sound of my mower, but when I tried, the unit shut off. I did a hard reset, but got the same result. I noticed that the frequency I have selected has an asterisk next to it. Most of the other stations do not have this. Related?
Hopefully, the volume issue is not a mechanical problem. I don’t man to jump the gun (perhaps I am), but you could try manually reapplying the firmware for the player (see the firmware upgrade sticky thread at the top of the forum), in case this is due to a software glitch.

I believe this indicates that this frequency is one of your presets so no, it would not be related to your problem.
