Clip Zip: Display broken => Replacement possible?

Unfortunately the display of my beloved Clip Zip is broken and I do not find a similar mp3 player with rockbox port.

So: Is it possible to replace the display? Is it difficult? Where could I get a replacement display (didn’t find a broken Zip with working display @ ebay)?

I have 2 SanDisk Sansa Clip Zip players and both have black screens. I would love to hear if anyone has a suggestion as to what can be done to bring them back to life. Thanks.
