Clip+ volume control died?

I received a Sansa Clip+ as a gift early this year (it’s still 2010) and bought a slotradio card. I can turn the volume down but not up. Just started doing that and now the volume is so low I can’t hear anything.

Any suggestions on actions I can take or is the failure of the side volume control a known issue? Without a receipt do I have any recourse?

In case it’s a software issue, you might want to try reapplying the firmware–see the firmware upgrade sticky thread at the top of the forum.
