Just bought a clip - the volume button works, makes a “click” noise when pressing it, but is somewhat loose and rattles when I shake the player. Is this normal or is the button supposed to be tighter?
That’s normal. Mine is the same as you describe.
Thanks…kind of wish it was a tighter fit, but then again I only paid less than $40 for the 2GB player

It should be fine. I had my old one for 9 months, and it never got any more loose, and my current one that I got in February is the same way.
As long it is adjusting the volume it is fine.
